Since I have some lovely new followers I thought I’d also take the opportunity to tell you a little more about myself and why I love my job so much, as it’s a question I often get asked.

Having practised as a GP for many years I used to feel sad that I’d done all that medical training and found myself in a job where I was continuously stressed and pretty low to be honest. I couldn’t see a way out…until I discovered Aesthetics.

After my initial training 12 years ago, I slowly realised that this was the path I wanted to take, I found it so rewarding making people happy with my treatments. There are no words to describe how it makes me feel when someone looks in the mirror at the end of their treatment and cries with happiness!

I’m frequently told how I’ve changed people’s lives in terms of how they feel about themselves after the work I’ve done. For me that is incredible. And to be honest, something that was extremely hard to do as a GP. And it meant that all my medical training wasn’t going to waste either.

As my patient following grew I was able to open my own clinic in 2015 and then a few years ago I finally gave up the GP work to dedicate my whole career to Aesthetic Medicine. With the help of my husband, Crispin (Dr Malpas), Emma and Lisa, (and Diggy of course, my gorgeous doggie! 🐶) our clinic has gone from strength to strength, it’s like a little oasis in the Dorset countryside where people come and soak in the beautiful surroundings, and go away feeling fresher, glowing, enriched and often more confident.

I feel I’m the lucky one who has been given the opportunity to get to know my lovely patients over the last 12 years and I’ve seen many of them grow in confidence and self-esteem and to be honest most of them have become like good friends!

Confidentiality, discretion, subtlety, the natural look and not looking ‘done’ are my key principles as well as patient safety, clinical excellence and a very high standard of ethics….
